Intern and Partner
Designed and prototyped a carbon fiber wheel and other segments for a compactable and durable wheelchair using a CNC and other machining equipment.
Global grant competition; applied for a half-million-dollar grant (Toyota Mobility Grant). Qualified to the final round.
Jan. 2019- Aug. 2019
Energetics and Nanotechnology Lab: Researcher
Developed a solution to increase interface strength between electrodes and the current collector in structural batteries.
Tested the interface and full mechanical battery strength with an Instron Tensile Tester.
Collected and analyzed a large variety of battery data from hundreds of Excel columns using MATLAB.
Paper is submitted for review (with me as second author) in Journal of Materials Chemistry A (Impact Factor 10.7).

Vanderbuilds Hardware Hackathon
1st Place
Prototyped and designed in 12 hours a pair of shoes to assist the blind in walking without a walking cane.
January 2019
TOM Makeathon
Designed and built in 48 hours, with a team, a wheelchair attachment for a 5-year old paraplegic child in the Tennessee community that gives him the agency to play on bumpy terrain with his friends.

"Think Tank"
Organized a curriculum to give patients in children’s hospitals an opportunity to learn about engineering principles by creating a toy car with an Arduino.

TOM Makeathon
Designed and built in 48 hours, with a team, a device that allowed a 4-year old boy to who was born without an esophagus and with clubbed hands to be able to feed himself for the first time ever.

Poster presentation of 2018 summer research in Dr. Goldfarb’s CREATE Lab where a device to reduce clonus in adult paraplegics was designed and tested.

Vehicle Integration
Team Lead
Lead a sub-team to build an electric car up to FSAE Electric 2018 rules and standards and learned basic metal and wood machining skills (lathe, mill, bandsaws, etc.).

"GidHub Guardian"
Train individuals and run workshop on how to effectively use a variety of prototyping equipment. Equipment includes laser cutters, X- Carve CNC, a full wood shop, injection-molder, and multiple types of 3D printers (Forms Resin Printer, Markforged, PRUSA, etc.).
Create and teach multiple project based workshops that teach students various prototyping and engineering skills.
